  How to install application s in your iPod/iPhone
  
  
  Hello, this is supposed to be a support thread for the "usual steps" to make when installing a cracked app.
  
  To avoid crowding other threads, and repeating the same thing when posting a new app.
  
  Requirement s.
  
  You need a jailbroken iPhone/Pod with firmware 2.X (instruction s can be found in a lot forums in the net)
  You need a SSH server running on it. The most common is openSSH and it can be found on Cydia.
  
  
  Installing.
  
  1) Download and extract the app from the supplied links
  2) Upload your app to the /Applications folder of your iPhone.
  3) Set the permissions of the app to 755 recursively .
  4) Create a folder called “Documents” in /var/mobile/ and set permission to 777.
  5) Create a folder called “Documents” in the /Applications folder and set permissions to 777.
  This will fix the Disk Full error message seen when launching the game.
  6) Reboot your Device.
  
  
  SSH using the terminal.
  
  This instruction s are for those of you that feel comfortable around the terminal.
  1) First you should find your device's IP. Under[color="#0000FF"] Settings->Wi-Fi-> Your Network[/color]
  
  
  
  2) Then we copy the app to your phone using the scp utility.

  #Password is alpine by default
  scp -r ~/Desktop/yourApp.app root@your.device.ip:/Applications/

  3) Then we go into the device and make the dirs, chmod as needed

  chmod -R 755 yourApp.app/
  mkdir Documents
  chmod 777 Documents/
  cd /var/mobile/

  killall SpringBoard
  logout[/color]
  
  If the app still doesn't appear reboot your device.
  
  
  SSH using Transmit
  
  Connect to your device using SFTP.
  The default password is alpine
  
  
  
  Go to / and then Application s
  
  
  
  Copy your app there and then change the permissions to 755 using the get info command.
  
  
  
  Press Apply to enclosed items.
  
  Create and change the permissions of the necessary folders using the same steps.
  
  Now respring your device.
  
  You have two options.
  
  [color="#2E8B57"]1[/color]. paste this in your terminal.
  
  CODE:
  [color="#0000FF"]ssh root@your.device.ip killall SpringBoard[/color]
  
  
  [color="#FF0000"]2.[/color] Install a Respring utility from Cydia.
  
  Everything should be working now, if not try rebooting your device.
  
  Hints If the file you downloaded is a .ipa instead of a .app you can extract the .app from there.
  Rename the .ipa to .zip and unarchive it.
  There should be a "Payload" folder, inside there should be the .app, just ssh it over and your done.
  
  
  How to install Application s on iPhone/iPodtouch using the IPA-Method
  
  This is my preferred method cause once modified you can use iTunes to manage all the apps.
  
  1) Using SSH (over Terminal or Transmit (Cyberduck)), on iPhone navigate to the folder:
  
  [color="#0000FF"]"/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/"[/color]
  
  2) Backup the file "MobileInsta llation" from the directory above
  
  3) Download this patched file -

  4) Copy the patched file over to:

  5) Set permissions to that new file to 775
  
  6) Some of the apps need a Documents folder in the root and mobile partition:
  Create a "Documents" folder in "/Applications" and "/var/mobile" and set permissions to 777.
  
  7) Reboot your iPhone - Important! Otherwise your Apps will not install!
  
  Simply start iTunes on your Mac and than drag and drop your cracked IPA's to the "Program list".
  
  9) Sync your iPhone/iPodTouch with iTunes

For those who need some help to install [K'd] (cracked) application s:

There are 2 methods to install *free* games on your IPhone, both requires jailbroken iPhone.

The method we will explain is the easiest one. It does not require patching your iPhone.



Easy steps:
- Update your iPhone to firmware 2.0 with Pwnage 2.0, use our straightfor ward guide.
It’s important that your iPhone is Jailbroken, and that you have installed Cydia Installer.

- Fire up Cydia, and install OpenSSH. It will allow you to connect to your iPhone.
Next you will need an ftp client that handles SFTP protocol.
We recommend Transmit for Mac users or CoreFTP for Windows users.

- Connect your iPhone to your wifi home network, and check the assigned IP address.
Fire up your FTP client, and connect to your iPhone IP address with the following user:
User : root
Password : alpine

- Get the IPA files (google is your friend)
Rename the extension IPA to ZIP and extract the content.
You’ll find the XXXX.app in the Payload folder.

- Browse to the /Applications directory and upload the XXXX.app

- You will need to set the correct permissions on the apps folder in /Applications
Apply permissions 775 with your ftp client to the folder you added under /Applications

- Create a folder called “Documents” in /Applications and /private/var/Mobile
This is a one time process, if the Documents folder already exist, leave it skip to next step

- You will need to set the correct permissions on the 2 “Documents” folder you created
Apply permissions 777 with your ftp client.

- Reboot your iPhone and the *free* apps should appear on your iPhone.

Alternative method:

This method will allow you install *free* cracked IPA files through iTunes.
It requires that you replace a framework with a patched one.

- Connect to your iPhone with SSH, user root, password alpine
- Go to folder /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework


- Backup the MobileInsta llation binary : cp -r MobileInsta llation MobileInsta llation.bak 


- Connect with SFTP and upload the patched MobileInsta llation
- Set permissions : chmod 775 MobileInsta llation
- Reboot the iPhone

Double-Click the IPA files to import them in iTunes.
Then simply Sync your application s with iPhone.
Important note :
Use this method only to evaluate apps before you buy them.
